Hi, I’m Michael D. Pierce
I'm a product manager, project manager, software engineer, multi-time SaaS startup founder and investor (co-founded a Micro-PE firm), passionate about connecting industries, from financial technology (FinTech) to automotive inventory analytic (AutoTech), to LegalTech, with consumer and operations data. In the past, I also had built and sold a company in the GovTech space serving parks and recreation departments across the US. Today, I lead post-merger integration of the startup I co-founded, BankerBox, with SS&C Intralinks as Principal Product Manager, based in Boston, MA. You can read more about my background here.

2021
Got Married
Got married to my wonderful wife Chang on May 22nd, 2021. We had a lovely ceremony outside a 100 year-old New England style building in Newton, MA. Historic bridges and paths, wonderful trees, flowers, and shrubs, and ducks swimming in the nearby pond. Our closest friends and family came from all of the country to support us.
2019
Busiest Year of My Life ⏳
Wow... 2019 was a whirlwind. From selling DigiQuatics, to getting BankerBox acquired, to moving across the country, this year was SUPER crazy from start to finish. You can read all about it in this blog post.
2013
Started My First Company 💻
In 2013, I started DigiQuatics. The seed of an idea I had when I was the pool manager had grown, and I wanted to pursue a SaaS solution. Besides some C++, UNIX, and HTML/CSS in college I had no real experience. I started off on Google, learning how to build an app. 5 years later, DigiQuatics grew to 35,000 users, spread across 5 countries. My life changed forever from this moment.

Math has always been one of my passions. I spent years as a tutor and decided to become a professor at a local community college.

Graduated from Colorado School of Mines 🏫
I graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelors in Science in Economics.
